She’s coming into her own, this one. Nupur’s collection especially showed a confidence in letting the subtlest of touches speak the loudest – tonal print, gauzy lace effects and an embroidery pattern that was as discreet as it was effective. The underlying sensuality, played up by the use of flimsy camisoles, corsetry elements and lightweight chiffons set the scene for summer evenings in elegant drawing rooms, although these contemporary ensembles will seem equally at home on a red carpet or a sophisticated cocktail event. The fishnet print asymmetrical kurta with rivet work made it to our favoured list; a true collaboration of a traditional separate interpreted with restrained modernity.
