TGIF at Jimmy Choo
Structure and formal wear took a hike, as Jimmy Choo ditched the familiarity of Mayfair and headed straight to the streets. The collection fused East End grit with South Bank splendour to create uncomplicated silhouettes, while successfully attracting a younger, more adventurous consumer. Denim – the raw and most casual fabric – made a regular appearance alongside laid-back brogues and loafers. The overall look was dressed down as fluoro-accented high tops, studded trainers and snakeskin-print boots signalled a modern mood. Making an urban statement, the Belgravia sneakers in gold patent, airbrush sunset and aqua mix, jumped to the top of our bucket list. A refreshing take on men’s wear was the 3D injection molded rubber brogue ornamentation on toe caps of a traditional lace up. The new J Boot which is a combat-style trainer and Grove skate shoes featuring metallic accents gave the collection an added dose of swag.
