An Equestrian Sparkle

Text by Wyanet Vaz

Hermès designs a tack room of equestrian-inspired pieces that combine the intensity of gold, diamonds and leather

If you have a thing for the artistic designs churned out from the Hermès house, don’t miss the third edition of their Haute Bijouterie collection. Inspired by the famous silk squares, the pieces have been intricately designed by the brand’s artistic director Pierre Hardy. The jewellery ensembles featuring yellow, white and rose gold may draw inspiration from equestrian bridlery, but is actually so far from the world of horse tack and so near the idea of metamorphosis and of course, art. Note the best way to wear the look, too.

Della Cavalleria
For the love of: Geometry.
Take note: The powerful yellow gold design comes with heavy geometric lines and strong interweaves. We love the soft grey and golden hues along with the ultra-feminine pearls.
Wear it with: An asymmetrical flowy dress.

Grand Apparat
For the love of: Minimalism.
Take note: This design is crafted in white gold and diamonds, with a graphic network of lines paved with shimmering rocks.
Wear it with: A playsuit or a romper.

Brides de gala
For the love of: Complications.
Take note: Resembling a horse’s leather harness and links, these pieces are made of pink gold and feature 10,000 diamonds and a 23-carat sapphire, not to mention bits, headstalls, nosebands and brow bands.
Wear it with: A pencil skirt teamed with a flirty camisole.
