With Marsala being chosen as Pantone’s ‘Colour of the Year’, Gucci reinforces this trend through its Pre-Fall collection in Florence. Riding on boyish glamour, the colour palette switches between warm shades of brick red and deep burgundy, to cooler hues of slate and dusty blue.

While we can definitely look forward to deeper reds in our wardrobe, Gucci also forecasts a growing affinity towards the 70s with flared pants, pointy-toe brogues and printed chemisier dresses. Straying away from Kris Knight’s floral burst, this time, sleek geometric prints take over the showcase. Fur set the tone for day and evening wear: with the woven goat jacket, shearling outerwear with Mongolian lamb on the neckline, and patchwork jackets in fox.
