Day 1: Best Dressed at Cannes Film Festival 2016
Compiled by Tanisha Choudhury
It’s that time of the year when the biggest and brightest stars descend on the croisette at Cannes and come together to celebrate world cinema at what may be the world’s glitziest film festival. The Cannes Film Festival this year kicked off with a premiere of Woody Allen’s Café Society, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart and Blake Lively. In other news, Miss Lively debuted her baby bump on the red carpet. Below, we’ve rounded up the best looks from the opening ceremony of the festival.
Blake Lively debuted her baby bump on the red carpet and looked drop-dead gorgeous while doing it. This sparkly, nude Atelier Versace gown with its delicate chiffon train is the dress of our dreams.
Anna Kendrick looks every bit the Hollywood starlet in this effervescent yellow Stella McCartney gown and classic side-swept hair.
For her first appearance at Cannes, Bella Hadid stunned in a Roberto Cavalli gown, studded with Swarovski crystals.
Eva Longoria keeps it simple and chic in a long-sleeved, white Pamela Rolland gown and make-up by L'Oréal.
Jessica Chastain’s canary yellow Armani Privé gown was beautifully draped and perfectly accessorised with her mega-watt smile.
No one wears haute couture with quite as much nonchalance and poise as Julianne Moore, and in that Givenchy number, she proves it once again. L'Oréal's clean make-up only enhances the effect.
Kirsten Dunst brought some delicate drama to the red carpet with her floral Gucci number. Under Alessandro Michele’s reign, you can’t go wrong with Gucci.
Kristen Stewart looked equal parts edgy and sultry (as she usually does) in a Chanel dress with a sheer top. We especially love the smoky eyes and siren red lips worn with a casually tousled bob.
We love the sexy silhouette of Lily Donaldson’s Saint Laurent dress. Also, how of-the-moment are those dark lips and that choker?
Naomi Watts brought lavender back to the red carpet in this strapless Armani Privé gown. The jewels added a fashionably playful touch.
Victoria Beckham looked effortlessly chic in one of her own creations. The impeccably tailored outfit made her stand out in a sea of gowns
