‘Gabrielle Chanel was the Queen of beige’, states Karl Lagerfeld as the nude shade defined Chanel’s spring summer catalogue at the Grand Palais. Known for their exciting sets that become talking points, this time Lagerfeld created a wooden house within a large neat garden (which also doubled as the finale shot for the show).

Keeping nature in the forefront, light-weight materials made an entrance, and if you zoomed in (click on the image above to view larger), you couldn’t miss the bees embroidered on tulle and used as costume jewellery. The iconic tweed coat was given a vintage twist with raglan sleeves. What we hope will make it big on the scene are the cute-as-a-button smartphone pouches that surprisingly matched each of the outfits.
