5 Make-up Artists on How To Get The Red Carpet Look

This NYE, Verve shows you how to look your glamorous best…

How to get the look:

1. Start by applying the Intensive Skin supplement serum on your face, and then follow it up by applying Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream and Hydrating Face Cream.

2. Next you adequately apply a light or medium based Intensive skin serum corrector or an Intensive skin serum concealer in warm beige on you face. Next you apply the Intensive Skin Serum foundation in SPF40 warm beige on your face till your neck.  Next you use Soft Sand Sheer Powder to finish the look.

3. Next for the eyes, you use the Dark Brown Kit and Clear Brow shaper to fill and shape in the brows and then use the Sandy Gold Long-wear Cream shadow at the lid of your eyes and then apply Sepia Ink eyeliner and Mahogany Eye Shadow as a liner. Finally, you finish the look by applying Everything Mascara and Intensifying Long-wear Mascara adequately on your lower and upper lashes.

4. In the next step you apply Nude Pink Blush on the apple of your cheeks and brightening nudes and Brightening finishing Powder on the your cheekbones.

5. Next for your lips, apply Pink gold shimmer lip color and liner and top it off with Crystal gloss lipgloss.

How to get the look:

1. Start by cleansing, toning and moisturising your face and lips by using 2 drops of HD elixir. Then use the HD primer to your face and blend it. First you take a small drop of HD foundation, apply it to both eyelids and blend. Then you follow it with Make Up For Ever eye makeup primer. Next you shape and fill in your eye brow with the Make Up For Ever Brow pencil and then take Make Up For Ever Kohl – 1K / 6K black kohl pencil and draw a line along the upper lash line. Next you smudge this line upwards, coating the eyelid, but only till the crease and then apply the kohl on your lower lash line till the outer corner of your eye.

2. Next with you apply Make Up For Ever Black eye shadow in #100 matte to your eyelid keeping within the crease and wing line to create a graphic eye. For a softer Smokey look you blend the powder along the crease line to get a soft finish.

3. Now apply HD foundation all over the face blending it down to the neck and then use the HD concealer/ full coverage sparingly. Then gently brush some loose HD powder on your face focusing on the T zone and then contour your face with a bronzer. Follow this with Make Up For Ever blush of the shade according to your skin tone right on the apple of your cheek and blend it to the contour.

4. Next you go back and finish the eye makeup by applying Black aqua pencil, from the outer corner of your lower lash line all the way across the inner corner of your eye, making sure the wing tip are aligned. Next taking the aqua pencil / aqua liquid liner/ pen liner draw from the inner corners, upper lid line till the outer wing tip. Then use the White aqua pencilto lower water line.

5. Next draw and fill your lip line with aqua lip liner pencil in your choice of nude or soft peach and then apply Lipstick – rouge artist lip colour of your choice matching your lip liner pencil. Then spray your face with Make Up For Ever Mist & fix and let it dry. Then lastly, apply Make Up For Ever Smokey lash mascara, to both upper and lower lashes to finish the look.

How to get the look:

1. Start by applying the All About Shadow Primer for Eyes in Medium across the lid and blend it with your finger. Then smooth some Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Bountiful Beige over the entire lid and blend. Next you blend the deeper shade of the brown into the crease using a shadow brush and then use the All About Shadow in Pink Chocolate shade over the lid and under the lower lashes using a contour brush. Next use the Skinny Stick in Slim Sable to define the eyes along the upper and lower lash line, then lightly smudge the line with a contour brush. Finally fill your brows by using Instant Lift for Brows in Deep Brown to frame the eyes and then finish with Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara in Jumbo Jet.

2. Use the Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Precious Posey by focusing the blush on the apples of the cheeks.

3. Next, use the Quickliner for Lips Intense in Intense Licorice to define your lips by applying it just outside your natural lip line and then filling in your lips with the same liner for an even and fuller look. Finish it off by using the Clinique Pop Lip Color + Primer in Nude Pop for getting the au naturale nude lip.

How to get the look:

1. Begin by first using the Revitalift L.A.S.E.R X3 Day Cream and Eye Cream to hydrate your skin for a fresh face. Then apply L’Oréal Paris Infallible Reno Liquid Foundation in Miel Honey as a base.

2. Next use the Color Riche Les Ombres Eyeshadow quad in Chocolate Lover all over the eyelids and then apply the Superliner Gel Intenza Profound Black  in two coats close to the lash line to deepen the shade, and follow it by the Volume Million Lashes mascara to intensify the eyes.

3. Next you blend the shades of Lucent Magique Sunset Glow across your cheeks and then use the Color Riche L’Extraordinaire Gloss in Nude Ballet Rose Melody to complete your look.

4. To finish it off, use the Excellence Crème Hair Color (Aishwarya’s Brown Shade No. 425) and let your hair bask in all the glory!

How to get the look:

1. Start with a bronzed, sun-kissed base, then apply double coated mascara on the upper lashes and smudge in a line of Lakmé White Kajal on the lower lid to open up the eyes.

2. Next use any of the four shades from Lakmé’s new Lip Pout Range for your lips.

3. Finish it off with a simple and sleek topknot for a simple and elegant statement.
