Starry Shenanigans With Audemars Piguet
The expansive Carreau du Temple exhibition space transformed into a glittering hub as Audemars Piguet welcomed a host of French cinematic icons, supermodels, musicians, socialites, designers and a smattering of select guests to celebrate the launch of the new Millenary women’s watch collection. Mirrored panels cordoned off the cocktail area where flutes of champagne and the constant flicker of flashbulbs encapsulated the bonhomie generated by the brand’s gregarious CEO, François-Henry Bennahmias, as he mingled with powerhouse actor Audrey Tautou, the ‘Elvis’ of France — Johnny Hallyday, couture king Elie Saab, singer Anggun, trendsetter Olivia Palermo, catwalk favourite Jourdan Dunn, comedian Omar Sy and the face of the Audemars watch campaign, Anouck Lepère. Newly announced ambassador, Freida Pinto, who had wowed the local and international press earlier in the morning with her witty repartees and affable ease, made her entrance in a sleek black ensemble, before proceeding with François to the incredible dinner spread hidden behind the deceptive mirrors. Inside, two-Michelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze had organised a dazzling meal — in true Audemars Piguet style, the entire party of about 300 guests swayed in tandem for an evening of exquisite gastronomy. The mood lightened further as the music got more boisterous and the night finally ended on a frenzied foot-tapping note.
