Two artists, two creations, one show. Contemporary Abir Karmakar and Sunil Padwal’s new projects are showing at an exhibition in Bengaluru, each creation as fascinating as the other. Karmakar’s Follow Piece covers themes of voyeurism and piracy, capturing virtual ‘moments’ on his canvas. Padwal’s series, Intertwined Plasticity draws on the past and present, illustrating how they are always connected. Working with fine lines, the artist portrays captivating images that ‘enact an assemblage of unspoken thoughts in multiple layers’.

Artist Profiles:

Abir Karmakar was born in Siliguri and graduated with a degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda. The artist has exhibited at several group and solo shows in India and internationally, and currently lives and works in Baroda.
