Just as vapour precipitates into water, thoughts within an artist’s mind precipitate into colours on a canvas. Taking off from this thought, a new group show in Mumbai celebrates these ‘precipitant’ ideas with the works of some of India’s most famous artists. Featuring works by Anjolie Ela Menon, Himmat Shah, Krishen Khanna, Manu Parekh, M F Husain, Ram Kumar, S H Raza and Thota Vaikuntam, Precipitation of Thoughts delves into their minds and uncovers the connect between man and nature. From Raza’s signature Bindus to Husain’s horses, the exhibition takes viewers through a few of the best creations from these reputed artists’ oeuvres.

Precipitation of Thoughts is on display at ICIA, Mumbai (ICIA Building, Next to Rampart House, K Dubash Marg, Kala Ghoda) until August 18, 2016.
