Check out the best of Polish contemporary art at a Mumbai exhibition

You’d think books, CD and vinyl covers, posters and catalogues are simple, everyday objects. And then they’re enhanced in such a way, you can’t stop admiring them. In a new exhibition, several Polish designers’ works are on display, highlighting the contemporary form that’s slowly gaining repute the world over. Curated by Magdalena Frankowska and Artur Frankowski, the show brings together the best creations – cover art on books, covers, posters and more – from the European country’s design stable.  ‘Projects of this kind give designers the freedom to experiment and look for inventive means of expression. An interesting phenomenon is also the development of independent publishing. The result is often high-quality, cutting-edge design marking new directions,’ say the curators. We couldn’t agree more.

The exhibition is hosted in Mumbai in collaboration with The Polish Institute, New Delhi and Culture.pl.

Eye On Poland: New Graphic Design from Poland is on display at Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Mumbai (Rani Baug, 91/A, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, Byculla East) until July 31, 2016.
